Deal highlights of our lawyers include:
- advising a well-known global bank in connection with a facility amounting to approximately 86.5 million EUR to 59 local governments in order to assist them in the construction of a regional gas pipeline as part of the phase 1 (one) of the project “Suceava Utility and Environment at European Standards";
- advising a well-known European multilateral financial institution on several project finance transactions designated to assist municipalities in Romania in the modernisation of local infrastructure;
- advising two leading Hungarian and regional banks in connection with an 84.5 million EUR secured financing to a real estate developer to assist it in the establishment and operation of a “shopping and entertainment center” on a 250,000 sqm site at the western entrance of Cluj, in Romania;
- advising three major international financial institutions in connection with a 144 million EUR export financing to the Romanian Ministry of Transportation in order to assist it in the construction of an approximately 415 kilometre two-lane by two lane divided motorway from the city of Brasov to the Hungarian border near the village of Bors (known as the “Brasov-Bors Motorway Project”);
- advising a leading Austrian bank in connection with a 15 million EUR facility to an Austrian supermarket chain developer in order to assist it in land acquisition and the construction of twenty supermarkets;
- advising an international oil and gas company in connection with a secured financing of the bridge financing in the amount of approximately 107 million USD provided by a well-known multilateral financial institution for the purpose of (i) the revamping, modernisation and start-up of a Romanian refinery for the production of high quality petroleum products and (ii) increasing the yield of higher volume from the Romanian refinery in compliance with Euro-3 standards;
- advising a well-known global financial institution in connection with an 17 million USD project finance facility agreement granted to a Romanian mining corporation to assist it in the construction of the first mineral re-treatment plant in Romania.
